Had a memorable experience last night at Boston Sail Loft. The restaurant looked packed when I arrived and I wasn't sure I'll even get a table, but the host was able to seat me and even gave me the option to sit on the deck. I unexpectedly had a beautiful view of the water at sunset! My waitress Haley was really nice and friendly, and I ordered the clam chowder and lobster roll. Everything tasted delicious! I ended up ordering a Boston cream pie to go to eat in my hotel room. Overall a wonderful evening as the staff was so kind!

This establishment is 10/10. There's a good reason there can be a wait to get in. I'd like to acknowledge that the staff work together like a well oiled machine to ensure that everyone is being looked after. We found this restaurant online, while home in Canada planning our Boston trip. Came for a cup of their world famous clam chowder and back the next day for the most delicious dinner to cap off our stay. We started with the calamari. Actual fresh calamari rings like we've never experienced. The Lobster Roll is Packed with fresh lobster! The Sword Fish sandwich features a generous portion of sword fish that melts in your mouth. For a refreshing drink on a scorching hot day, the Rum Punch was Perfection. Thank You To All Who Made This A Memorable Visit!

My sister and I wanted the view of the harbor with our food and stumbled upon this gem. Made reservations at the front and only needed to wait 20 minutes. Server was so kind and efficient, really appreciate her recommendation of the seafood pasta which my sister absolutely loved. Lobster was great, fresh and meaty but I must say I really liked the salad with the crunchy bacon and raspberry vinaigrette.

Came here Sunday night for dinner (around 8:30pm)—they don’t take reservations so you have to wait in line and it was long! We waited about 45 mins and were finally given two seats at the bar. The restaurant is very casual, nothing fancy. They have the windows open, overlooking the water. Food was amazing!! Highly recommend the Clam Chowder—loved it so much especially with all the dill, even ordered a second portion! If you get the soup in a cup, they will have it overflowed, but not if you get the bowl—it’s picture worthy, something different. They have some good Sunday Specials—we got the Warm Buttered Lobster Roll ($39.95) and the Single Steamed New England Lobster ($39.95)—the lobster roll was delicious. Bartender made a tasty Dirty Gin Martini, loved it. Overall the food was excellent, just wished they offered reservations so you don’t have to physically wait in line aimlessly not knowing how long you’ll have to wait for.

The service was impeccable. The manager took the time to come over and ask how the food and service was and i liked that. I started with a mug of clam chowder, easily the best chowder i have ever had with perfect bites of potato and clam in the dill filled chowder. Serious yum. The cod in the fish and chips was incredibly moist and flaky. Two people had the steamed lobster over mussels and judging by the silence at the table and clarified butter dripping from their lips, it looked like it tasted delicious!!! The apple pie ala mode in whip cream and caramel was gone before a photo could be taken. This is one of those places that a bad review or two is not going to make a difference but they make sure to do the little things to make the customer feel like they made a good choice for dinner. Kudos to the kitchen and staff. RECOMMEND

Boston Sail Loft may be small, but it packs a punch. The place is always buzzing with energy, and for good reason. Their drinks are solid—great selection and well-made—and if you can snag one of the street-side tables, you’re in for prime people-watching territory. Now let’s talk food: the clam chowder was rich, creamy, and loaded with flavor. Easily one of the best I’ve had in the city. And the lobster roll? Fresh, buttery, and generously stuffed. It’s the kind of meal that makes you want to come back the next day. If you’re looking for classic New England seafood in a laid-back, lively spot, this is it. Just be prepared to wait a bit—it’s popular for a reason!

Food: cup of clam chowder.. This was awesome. Came right out quickly. Probably the best clam chowder I've ever had. Main dish was the lobster roll. Now... This was pricer than what is around. But you get a healthy amount of lobster more than you get elsewhere. Coleslaw has raisins.. Which added a great flavor. Service: friendly, attentive... Atmosphere: couple TV on the wall.. Tennis was on. Bar was long with a nice window backdrop of the dock. It was one of my favorite places I've visited.

You want a good solid and consistent seafood local restaurant, go no further. This place gets busy and for good reason, so get here early! The chowder is very good although I added a little Tabasco because I am used to New Orleans cuisine (my humble apologies chef), but would order again and again Great food (loved the chicken salad) and good service by the young ladies at the bar - do t miss this wonderful Boston restaurant.
